This page contains helpful resources which you might find of use when planning a visit to the Yorkshire Museum. You can use them to introduce children to key topics and ideas ahead of a visit, or to reinforce their learning afterwards.

Prehistoric Yorkshire
Stone Age
- Our Star Carr: Life after the ice video series has been designed to give you and your pupils an introduction to what everyday life was like in Yorkshire during the Mesolithic.
- Archaeologists from the University of York built a Mesolithic house outside the Yorkshire Museum using Stone Age materials, tools and techniques. Watch this video to find out how they did it.
