The outdoors can be a magical adventure for our little explorers and here at York Museums Trust we are excited to launch our York Museum Gardens Forest School. Children will be led through stories and adventures by our experienced Forest School qualified leader. Come along and join in our foraging, building, exploring and nature tracking activities that are designed to develop your little ones skills through fun and adventure. Find out more here.

Six weekly sessions lasting two hours, aimed towards children aged 2 – 5 years old.

Acomb’s Gold: A New Anglo Saxon Discovery – Tue 4 Jun 2019

Gold objects of different shapes and sizes which have been laid out in a circle.

Join us as we explore an exciting new addition to the Yorkshire Museum’s collection.

Hear about brand new research being undertaken on a group of objects believed to have been buried with a high status woman near 7th-century Eoforwic.

This event is included in admission to the Yorkshire Museum and is part of the York Festival of Ideas. There’s no need to book.
