Our shop was given a fresh new look as part of the £2million refurbishment of the museum in 2010.

It sells a range of gifts, books, toys jewellery, postcards and souvenirs, all displayed along themes taken from the museum's displays such as the Roman Empire or the History of York. More details of best sellers and new lines will appear here soon.

We also sell drinks and snacks and have some limited seating for those wanting to rest for a while after a trip around the museum.

Outside, the Museum Gardens make an ideal spot for a picnic on fine days.
